Duties

Staff Management: Manager of Americorps members at two sites (Terrace St. Park and FYB Mid City,). The AD will hire, train, coach, and monitor academics for the 15 youth interns. The AD will support interns for success, schedule school visits to local high schools, and collaborate on professional development with FYB Board of Directors. The AD will also supervise the staff who oversee the expansion of Hi-Set Classes and Mechanic Certification Classes

Data Collection and Reports: The AD will be responsible for grant writing and grant management. The AD will be expected to oversee data collection, evaluation, and reporting, make improvements to the framework for collecting and compiling program data, including sign in and sign out procedures, compile monthly reports and prepare semi-annual reports for donors and stakeholders. The AD will also prepare PowerPoint presentations, social media and community presentations, and implement surveys of parents and teachers to ascertain their perceived effects of FYB on youth participants at home and at school. 

Communication: The AD will lead communication among FYB Staff (Executive Director, all coordinators,  FYB Mid City Staff, and Board of Directors) for meetings and events, update social media as directed by Executive Director, develop and mail donor acknowledgement letters in a timely manner, assist with event preparation for fundraising and donor events, and assist with donor stewardship.

Required Skills

  • Proficient writer for grants and program descriptions

  • Google Trained/Certified (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and email)

  • Able to manage a team

  • Facilitate meeting and trainings

  • Must be available for in person youth programs and professional development

  • Capable communicator in youth space

  • Ready and excited to serve as a teacher, mentor, and role model 

Prefered Education/Employment Experience

  • 2-4 year degree

  • 2 years experience in education, nonprofit sector, counseling, youth development, or business

Benefits

  • $45K Salary

  • Hours 10AM-6PM

  • Off for all Major Holidays

  • Rotating half-day on Fridays

  • 10 personal days paid leave
